TITLE/AUTHOR/DATE/SOURCE: Self-explanatory for the most part, you may need to search for author or date. Be careful that the source is the organization publishing the article (magazine, newspaper, journal, website) NOT just one mentioned in the article or that employs the writer.
MAIN IDEA: 4-6 sentences. MUST cover ALL major points of the article, but DON'T include statistics or specific facts in this section.
FACTS: STATS, STATS, STATS...these are specific and verifiable facts. DON'T include statements with might, could, should etc. Also, don't include generic observations based on facts...instead use STATS/#'s!!! You don't need to discuss them, just list the facts.
TEXTBOOK: First, you need to find two terms either explicitly mentioned in the article OR described without actually mentioning. Format is TERM, CH #___, PG# ___; TERM, CH#___, PG# ___
BIAS: ALL ARTICLES HAVE BIAS! If you don't put anything here you'll lose 20% of the assignment grade. You need to include a QUOTE that demonstrates a debatable opinion stated by the author. Then, you need to explain in your own words why it's biased.
Format: "QUOTE" - Explanation
NEW TERMS: AGAIN, you need TWO "new" terms. These should not be fancy, SAT-prep type adjectives or adverbs. They should relate to our class and the main point of the article. It can be an agency, expert, innovation, leader, etc.
Format is NEW TERM - brief description, NEW TERM - brief description
